If you're trying to figure out how to find Hadanite in Star Citizen, this quick guide will show you exactly where to go, what to look for, and how to find it fast. Let's get into it.
Hadanite is one of the most valuable surface mine gems in Star Citizen and can be mined using ground vehicles like the Greycat ROC, ROC DS, or the Atlas Geo.
The best place to find Hadanite in Star Citizen as of patch 4.6 is Aberdeen. Aberdeen has the highest chance of Hadanite spawns, dense surface clusters packed close together, very little downtime in between mining spots. Other moons can spawn Hadanite but Aberdeen is by far the most consistent and profitable.
Here's the fastest way to find Hadanite:
Fly at around 100 to 200 meters altitude. You can spot this by looking at the numbers right in the middle so like in between 0.10 km and 0.20 km. This keeps you low enough to pick up surface clusters clearly but high enough to cover ground quickly without constantly adjusting your flight path.
Use your ship scanner to look for small surface clusters. Focus on compact cluster signatures rather than large spread out returns. These are usually the clusters worth checking for rock mineable gems.
While scanning, watch for scan signatures in the 2k to 3k range that pop up immediately. The fast instant hits in this range are often strong indicators of worthwhile clusters so make sure you prioritize before any slower or weaker scan returns.
A side note to this is that it's good to prioritize tight groups of rock as you approach the cluster as well. Clusters with multiple nodes close together save time and usually lead to better results per landing. However, these are kind of rare at least for me so I just end up just landing in one cluster, taking off and going to the next.
Once you've spotted a Hadanite cluster that's worth your time, land and deploy your roc or roc DS or Atlas Geo. Crack the rocks or gems then extract, rinse and repeat. Something worth pointing out as well is that as soon as you're done extracting, just go right back into your ship. No need to drive around or fly around if you're using the Geo looking for clusters. You want to do that from the comfort of your ship. It's faster, quicker and efficiency matters here. Rotating quickly in between good clusters is how you maximize your Hadanite runs.
What to expect
On Aberdeen, Hadanite often spawns alongside Feynmaline which boosts your overall haul value. That said, Aberdeen is a harsh environment. High heat, reduced visibility, environmental damage over time. Make sure you always keep an eye on your suit, your vehicle and where you park your ship. High risk but high reward.
Quick tips for better results
Last but not least, let me give you some quick tips to improve your success rate:
Don't overcommit to bad clusters.
Always scan before mining.
Park close to minimize exposure time and if visibility gets rough, reposition instead of forcing it.
I always like to say that clean runs beat greedy runs every single time. If this guide helped you out, join our org if you want to become part of a group. I believe most of us are using the Atlas Geo because the Greycat Rock is currently broken. Thanks for reading.
You can mine these gemstones using a Greycat ROC, ROC DS, or the Atlas Geo. Alternatively, you can opt for manual mining with the OreBit Mining Attachment for your Pyro RYT Multi-Tool. These methods serve as an ideal entry point for a mining career and offer a way to earn credits.

Purchase a Pyro RYT Multi-Tool with the OreBit Mining Attachment from in-game vendors. These tools are designed for handheld mining.
Explore planetary surfaces and locate small mineable rocks. These rocks contain gems.
Equip the personal mining tool in your character's hand.
Aim at the rock and the scanning mode will help you identify the resistance of the rock.
Aim the mining tool at the deposit and use the mining mode to fracture the rock. Pay attention to the energy levels to avoid overheating.
As you mine, the gems will scatter. Collect them with the extraction mode on your tool. They will be stored in your personal inventory.
Travel to a trade hub or processing facility to sell the gems.
